In recent decades, museum education has undergone unprecedented development, challenging the idea of the museum as a static entity and proposing dynamic approaches that emphasize the museum as an interactive learning experience. Whereas in the past, museum education targeted children, today, it is aimed at anyone interested in learning more about museum collections and their stories. Museum education views visitors as active participants invited on a stimulating discovery adventure guided by professionals in the field.
In the future, the BBU Museums aim to offer a diverse range of events and projects that will spark the interest of as many participants as possible, thereby making knowledge accessible through dialogue, games, and interaction. Openness to the community is, in fact, one of the fundamental values of the development strategy adopted by the Academic Cultural Heritage Department.
